Who's behind this site
This site is built and maintained by a 7th-semester Chemical Engineering student. I built the Reynolds Number Calculator (and the tools that will follow) because most free engineering calculators online give you a bare answer box with no explanation — and as a student, what I actually needed while studying was to see the working, not just the final number.
Every calculator here includes the formula, a full step-by-step substitution, and solved practice problems, so it works as a study aid as well as a quick reference tool.
Why it's free
Everything on this site is free to use, with no signup required. The site may show ads to cover hosting-adjacent costs and support adding more tools — using it never costs you anything, and no personal data is required to use any calculator.
What's on the site now
Six calculators covering core unit operations: Reynolds number, friction factor and head loss, pump power, NPSH, LMTD and heat exchanger area. Each one shows its full working, includes solved examples, and lists the common mistakes to avoid. More tools will follow.
